Cars in Germany's City Discovered Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Approximately fifty vehicles have been smeared with what appears to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Cars, walls and postboxes were marked, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they stated in a statement.

Law enforcement state they were alerted during the night on Wednesday evening, when a man observed that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued fluid.

The fluid had been placed in the pattern of a swastika, they added.

Law enforcement then located many other smeared vehicles and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation banning the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Officials say early analysis show the fluid was most likely human bodily fluid.

"There is still no clue as to where it came from; authorities are presently not aware of any physical harm in relation with the occurrence," they commented.

Municipal representatives stated they were trying "to unravel the incident" and have appealed to the community for tips.

A high-ranking representative commented the incident rendered him speechless and needed to be solved rapidly.

"This act hits the core of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the right-wing attack in 2020," he wrote on social media, referring to the murder of nine victims by a gunman aiming at individuals of immigrant origin in five years prior.
